ACS Mustang SportsThe ACS Mustang Sports Program is open to homeschool students ages 8-18 years old as of September 1st of the current year, unless otherwise noted. All sports are for boys and girls. The league we play in requires that students be homeschooled at least 51% of the time. Enrollment in Allegiant Christian School (ACS) is not mandatory, however ACS students and returning players receive priority registration. Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6-8 pm in Riverside. Games are typically Friday nights and/or Saturdays. VolleyballAugust through October Volleyball is quickly growing in popularity. The season begins with a one-day clinic open to students 8-18 who want to learn the fundamentals of volleyball. Participation in the ACS Mustangs Volleyball Program is not required to attend the clinic. Practices begin in August with games added in September and typically held on Saturdays. The season ends with a fun-filled, exciting tournament at the American Sports Center in Anaheim on the last Saturday in October. Cost which includes insurance, uniform, season and tournament for ACS families: 12 yrs & Under— $190, 13 yrs & Older—$215, Non-ACS families costs: 12 yrs & Under—$220, 13 yrs & Older— $245 Clinic Cost: $5 per person or $20 per family for ACS families, non-ACS: $10 per person or $40 per family. BasketballNovember through March Basketball has long been a favorite of many ACS and non-ACS families. Practices run November through March with games added in January. Two exciting optional tournaments are held annually, the first being the National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships in Missouri attend by more than 350 teams across the country and the second is a local March Gladness Tournament based in Norco. Because of our families’ love for the sport we also hold a one week basketball clinic in July. This clinic geared toward conditioning and fundamentals is open to both ACS students and other homeschoolers in the community. Participation in the ACS Mustang Basketball Program is not required to attend the clinic. Clinic Cost: $45 per person. Program Cost: $25 non-refundable registration fee per family for both ACS and non-ACS families, $45 per family insurance fee ($60 for non-ACS families) and four monthly installment payments of $55 for the first player, $43.50 for the second player, $36 for the third player, all other siblings free (non-ACS families pay four monthly installments of $70 for the first player, $58.50 for the second, $51 for the third and all other siblings are $15). Track & fieldApril through May Track and Field is an individual sport teaching students various events such as High Jump, Long Jump, Relays, Sprints, Races, Shot Put and Discus. The season ends with a homeschool track meet where homeschoolers from all over the inland empire gather to compete. Cost: 12 yrs & Under—$90, 13 yrs & Older—$110 for both ACS and non-ACS families. |
